Art by Mom and Child

Silvie and I used the stickers from an egg dye kit to make the patterns on this paper. Then, she painted an abstract design with poster paint. We both peeled off the stickers.

I painted this in Watercolor Class today. It is totally original and not a copy of anyone else's work.

Rainbow by 4th Grader

This is much better in real life where you can see the blue sparkle paint that the sky is made of.

Abstract by a 9-year-old

My 4th grader asked to paint yesterday and this is one of her three masterpieces.

Chagall Mermaid Interpreted in Watercolor

This is a Chagall Mermaid that I interpreted for my Fullerton College class in Watercolor. I'm uncertain of March Chagall's original media. His shade of blue was different, but I like how this turned out.

Recovery Inc. Meetings in Fullerton

Those of you who know me are aware that I attended a support group in Cleveland Heights, Ohio from 2003-2006 which was sponsored by the nonprofit Recovery Inc. Since there is not a group that meets my time needs in Fullerton, I will begin my own group. I am very excited about this project.

The location is:
Garden Gallery Cafe 419 Veronese
419 W. Commonwealth Ave.
Fullerton, CA 92832

The time is: Every Thursday at Noon begining on January 18. The meetings will last about two hours if attendance is good. If the group is small, meetings may be a bit shorter. I have plenty of books to start the meetings out.

Hope to see you there.

Happy New Year!

Best Wishes,

Linda

Valentine

This is a Celtic heart that I pulled off the internet several years ago and always meant to paint. Today I was inspired to do just that. I blew up the small heart off the net to 8 x10 size and traced it. The version on the net was one color. I decided to do a three color heart. My teacher in Shaker Heights, Ohio always told me to use a minimum of three colors. I think this is a rule that works well in watercolor. I'm using this a note paper for my Valentine letters next month.

Orchid Photo

This is a photo taken last summer at Sherman Gardens in Corona Del Mar with Fuji 400 professional film. I just developed the roll today. I want to paint this as a watercolor for next semester.
